These New South Whales Share New Single ‘MISS HER’ Ahead of Forthcoming Album GODSPEED
Australian indie punk innovators These New South Whales have dropped their latest single ‘MISS HER’, the newest taste of their much-anticipated album GODSPEED, set for release on November 28, 2025.
Blending heartfelt indie sensibilities with the band’s signature DIY and garage-punk energy, ‘MISS HER’ is a soaring yet melancholic reflection on mortality and loss. Bright riffs and surging vocals build towards the cathartic refrain: “I don’t ever wanna spend another day without ya, cos I can’t stop thinking about ya.”

Frontman Jamie Timony reveals the song was shaped by witnessing close friends lose loved ones during the album’s creation.
“Over the couple of years we were writing and recording, a few close friends lost people very dear to them. I was thinking of them while recording the vocals. I think about death quite a lot. Definitely got a bit of death anxiety. It scares me – the thought that it can all just change so drastically at any time. Your whole life can be rocked in a single moment. Flipped upside down forever. I sometimes find it sad and kinda scary that the party must come to an end, and that at some stage we have to experience the suffering of losing the ones we love. But this is life, I suppose!”
Produced by Ben Greenberg (Depeche Mode, Drab Majesty, Ceremony), ‘MISS HER’ showcases TNSW’s growing stylistic range. While their last LP pushed from basement punk into hardcore fusion, GODSPEED promises an even broader palette, spanning ’80s balladry, British guitar pop and blistering hardcore.
Alongside today’s release, TNSW have announced their signing to Ground Control Touring for North and South America, joining a roster that includes Show Me The Body, SPEED and Angel Du$t.
