Third Floor Releases Amazing Experimental Audio Visual Series ‘Dream State’

British-born, Sydney-based producer Third Floor has now released the final instalment to his debut audio-visual EP ‘Dream State’. The film is segmented into four parts, Thinking Of You, I See You, You Are The One, and the series’ pinnacle Falling, all accented with deep electronic tunes which deepen the release’s themes.

‘Dream State’ is a warped tale which follows a mysterious girl who stops at nothing to find love. As her twisted plans unfold she is granted with a short triumph, but when the truth is exposed everything comes crashing down and the aftermath sends our protagonist into a whirlwind of isolation.

The music, which backs each episodes, are themselves beautiful soundscapes which cross over into many genres. The opening track Thinking Of You is an enigmatic and relaxing slow burner, with the synthesisers producing perfect daydream music. In contrast, the powerful and upbeat I See You plays next, and with it’s bold synths wailing and rapid firing 808s, this heavy tune is something you could easily see on the dance floor.

Keeping up with this energy, You Are The One is a dark deep house inspired banger which marks the climax in the visual story, a perfect tune akin to late night drives. The final track from the project marks a return to the original wavy sound, this time topped off with harder hitting drums creating a climactic finish to the project.
