Third Time’s A Charm For Port Macquarie’s Wildwood Festival
Port Macquarie’s Wildwood Festival is back in all its blues, folk and urban glory with a brand new lineup for this year’s October event! The 2016 bill features a stack of local talent including headlining reggae and folk ensemble Blue King Brown and more-than-your-typical-pop-girl Montaigne. Joining them are soulful blues soloist Claude Hay, indie rocker Mar Haze, and Brissy genre-masher The Lyrical.
Organiser Simon Leigh says this year’s festival will be the biggest and most exciting to date. “Last year we knew we had reached new heights with the festival which has traditionally been attended by local folks. At the conclusion of last year’s event, the whole forest filled with fireflies as punters were leaving the venue and adults and kids alike were covered from head to toe illuminated in their sparkling aurora, it was truly a magical ending to a really special day,” Leigh said.
Amidst the array of homegrown talents onstage, festival-goers can enjoy the pristine natural surroundings of Port Macquarie’s Cassegrains Winery, market stalls, and activities.
