Three Up-and-Coming Kiwi Artists Georgia Lines Wants to See on the BIGSOUND Stages

Fresh off the back of her acclaimed debut album The Rose of Jericho, Auckland based musician and songwriter, Georgia Lines, has confirmed her first Australian shows to celebrate the record this August and September. Including appearances at BIGSOUND, the East Coast tour will take Georgia to Melbourne and Sydney for intimate headline shows that will bring her closer with fans and no doubt, captivate newcomers alike.

In honour of her upcoming performances at the 2024 edition of Brisbane’s inaugural BIGSOUND showcase, Aotearoa pop legend Georgia Lines has picked out for us THREE KIWI ARTISTS whom she would love to see grace the stages of BIGSOUND, and who she feels deserves a spot to show off their artistry and talent at such a major special event!

  1. Phoebe Rings: I am such a big fan of Phoebe Rings! Their song “Mandarin Tree” is a favourite of mine. Their music is dreamy and has a way of transporting you to another world.
  2. Crystal Chen: I’ve loved watching Crystal Chen’s journey over the past year or so. Her approach to creativity—beyond just music—is incredibly inspiring. Her voice is captivating, and her live setup is just amazing. Hint… there’s a harp!
  3. Rita Mae: Rita Mae’s music is full of raw emotion and honesty. She is an incredible songwriter, performer and artist and I would love to see her on stage at BIGSOUND!
