Timberwolf Unleashes New, Super Smooth Rock Single “Something That I Said”

One of AAA’s favourite Adelaide artists Timberwolf has just released a new single from his upcoming album, yet to be titled. Something That I Said is a significant progression from his earlier indie-folk influences.

In 2015 Timberwolf, the monkier of Christopher Panousakis, released his EP ‘Flux’ which saw him performing at sold-out shows across the country as well as at festivals such as Groovin’ The Moo, Big Pineapple, and BIGSOUND, AND won Best Songwriter and Best Male Artist at the South Australian Music Awards!

Something That I Said takes inspiration from artists like George Harrison, Jeff Buckley, and Jeff Lynn. Timberwolf wrote and performed all instruments on the track (apart from the drums which were played by Matt Birkin) and says, lyrically, the song was unchartered territory for himself. The smooth rock song is laid out like a candid conversation, and Timberwolf says he hopes it encourages people to explore a new side of themselves.

“Hopefully Something That I Said is the kind of song that encourages people to celebrate feeling imperfect and a little bit sh*t at making friends and finding lovers, because we’re all really awkward and conflicted and anyone who thinks they’re not is even more-so,” says Timberwolf.

Give Something That I Said a listen below, and keep your eyes and ears peeled for more from this great emerging Australian artist!
