Totally Unicorn Have Totally Announced Debut Album

Sydney genre chameleons Totally Unicorn are set to release their long-awaited debut album ‘Dream Life’ in July! The album will hopefully sate fans who have been hankering out for a full-length from the band since their conception in 2010.

Infusing elements of punk and metalcore, the label-defying band took a break in 2013 due to “illness, break-ups and losses”. The band spent 2015 recording and whittling over 30 songs down to the ten on the album. With previous song titles like Ummmm… Yeah, We’re The Gay Metallica and Filmed Before A Dead Studio Audience, we’re really keen to see the band’s upcoming track list!

The first single from ‘Dream Life’, Customer Service Station keeps listeners on their toes, transitioning from a metalcore/punk hybrid tune into an acoustic sound for a few bars, before bursting back through, heavy and melodic. Space Congratulations is a springing, chugging number that starts off almost reminiscent of Primus, before punk drumming and metal core yelling cuts through.

Totally Unicorn have also announced an upcoming tour with Melbourne 4-piece Pagan, and it’s well worth grabbing a ticket – this band has to be heard to be believed!
