Touch Sensitive Returns with Shimmering New Album ‘In Paradise’

Legendary Sydney producer Touch Sensitive has unveiled his long-awaited second studio album, In Paradise. Best known for cult classics like Pizza Guy and his reputation as one of Australia’s most stylish dance acts, Michael Di Francesco delivers a record that celebrates rhythm, movement and the timeless spirit of the dancefloor.

Arriving seven years after his acclaimed debut Visions (2017), In Paradise floats between sun-drenched Italo disco, soulful piano house and nostalgic electro pop, crafting a sound that feels both classic and refreshingly modern. Featuring collaborations with Connie Mitchell (Sneaky Sound System) and a dazzling Mini-Moog solo from Earth, Wind & Fire legend Larry Dunn, the album is a true meeting of eras and styles.

Tracks like “On The Ice” and “A Team Spirit” showcase Touch Sensitive’s knack for irresistible basslines and shimmering synth work, while “Club Med Anthem” transports listeners to a carefree, sunlit dancefloor. The title track, “In Paradise,” leans into lush brass and hypnotic grooves, while “Love To The Limit” channels soulful 70s R&B with Mitchell’s unmistakable vocals.

Speaking on the record, Touch Sensitive describes In Paradise as an attempt to recreate the joy of jamming in his parents’ garage — a raw feeling of freedom and elevation that sparked his lifelong love for music.

In Paradise was born out of the desire to re-create that feeling I had in my parents garage jamming with friends after school. I remember feeling elevated and from that moment on I was definitely hooked. The album title plays with the notion that in paradise in the future everything will be automated and perfect with no human error.”

“It also includes some special appearances from long time friend Connie Mitchell (little known fact I was an original member of the first incarnation of the Sneaky Sound System live band), and all time favourite Larry Dunn from Earth Wind and Fire, local legends include, Bret Hunt, Child Jazz prodigies Harry “not Harvey” Sutherland and Freyja Garbet, Rosario Ferraro, Tim Ayre, The Florian, Ben Freeman, Ollie Thorpe, Yanya Boston, Reva DeVito, Julian Sudden, Sabine Tapia, Surely Shirley and special guest on percussion Mauro Refosco direct from Brazil. Since we’re on the topic, heroes Tony Buchan who played disco flutes, mixed and helped me realize the dream. I used to watch him play when I was a kid, so to grow up and get to work with him has been a dream.” Touch Sensitive.

To celebrate the release, Touch Sensitive will perform with a full live band at The Night Cat in Naarm/Melbourne on Saturday, 8 November, giving fans a chance to experience In Paradise in its truest form.
