Amanda Palmer 2016/17 Australian Tour
For those unacquainted, Amanda Palmer is punk cabaret’s queen. After the release of her memoir ‘The Art of Asking’ back in 2014, the American songstress is finally bringing her unique sound to Australia in a massive tour spanning three months!
As well as scoring a couple of festival slots, Palmer will be stopping in at most of the major capitals (more than once for most!) and even performing at the Sydney Opera House.
“Just me. Piano. Songs. Some old songs, some new songs, lots of feelings, lots of ridiculousness. Certainly wine. Babies and piano and wine actually go together phenomenally,” she said of the Opera House show.
If you’re in Brisbane, be sure not to miss her Brisbane Powerhouse show over their Melt Festival weekend, or in Melbourne at one of her twice-monthly performances at The Gasometer.

Unless you’ve been living under a musical rock then you’ll have noticed Sydney singer-songwriter Ngaiire has skyrocketed to the top of Australian music scene recently. The former Blue King Brown vocalist scored a slot at this year’s Splendour as well as a handful of other festivals, guest-performed with none other than Flume at Listen Out, and to top it all off has announced a short tour to see the year out.

In support of her debut EP ‘High Songs No. 2’ which dropped last Friday, she’ll be bringing in the warm weather along the East Coast with her sweet voice and summery sounds.
Earlier this year, River starred in a performance at a BIGSOUND after party (which filled capacity soon after doors), so what better way to finish off 2016 with her first solo shows.

His lyrical and musical work recently featured in the musical adaptation of ‘Once’ (which he also wrote for the film), and won eight Tony Awards.
