TYDE Release Raw and Powerful New Single ‘Let The Dust Fall’
Indie folk outfit TYDE have unveiled their latest single, Let The Dust Fall—a poignant and searing critique of the medical system. This genre-blurring track highlights the band’s signature ability to blend raw emotion with masterful musicianship, offering a journey through grief, frustration, and defiance.
Frontwoman Ella Belfanti penned the track following her harrowing experience with topical steroid withdrawal, which stemmed from being dismissed and gaslit by doctors. The song critiques systemic flaws in modern medicine, lamenting its tendency to prioritize quick fixes over addressing root causes.
“This song is about more than just my story – the medical system in its current form causes harm in so many areas by failing to look for root causes and preferencing bandaid solutions with side effects, and it leaves people feeling helpless… It also leaves people with a lot of frustration and anger and no way to hold anyone accountable for the harm done to them.” – Ella Belfanti, TYDE.

Musically, Let The Dust Fall juxtaposes gentle vocals and intricate string plucking with explosive drumbeats, bold horns, and gritty guitar riffs. Its dynamic shifts between major and minor keys mirror an emotional tug-of-war, delivering a cathartic listening experience.
Fans can catch TYDE live at The Brightside Brisbane, Distillery Road Markets, and the iconic Woodford Folk Festival, where they’re slated for five performances. Attendees at Woodford will also have exclusive early access to their debut EP, which is set to officially drop soon.
