Ultimate Party Q & A: The Jensens

After establishing the band in 2013, Brisbane 5-piece The Jensens have made quite the name for themselves over the past 12 months. With a sturdy repertoire of songs, including their recently released EP ‘Everybody Talks’, the gents are the purest example of hard work and persistence paying off. We asked the band about what would be their ultimate party ahead of performing at AAA Backstage’s 5th B’day Party at The Foundry.

Who’s hosting the party? Where would it be?

We’re probably all hosting it, and it’s probably at our house where we all live, like always! Haha!

Is it themed? If so, what is the theme?

The theme is ‘come dressed as yourself.’

Who would most likely to be ‘that guy’ and whip out an acoustic guitar and start singing Wonderwall?

We all know it, like let’s not pretend we don’t. But none of us would be that guy, we can’t listen to that song anymore.

What’s the contents of the Kings Cup?

Cheap beer, whiskey, red wine, white wine, some Captain Morgan, maybe some Jack Daniels? Have we missed anything? We’ve never really taken too much of a note on what people are drinking.

Who’s dominating at beer pong?

We don’t even know how to play beer pong, don’t you just play ping pong and drink?

What’s the party jam? What tunes have everyone dancing?

Kylie Minogue, Las Ketchup, Sophie Ellis Bextor, that kind of stuff, y’know!

Who’s most likely to get white girl wasted?

All the white girls? We think that’s pretty racist…

Most likely to nominate themselves DJ and change the songs all the time?

Everyone’s a DJ!

Lastly, what are you most looking forward to about AAA Backstage’s 5th Birthday Party? 

Getting while girl wasted, winning at beer pong, monitoring everyone’s drink choices, nominating myself as DJ, and changing all the songs. Oh, and playing a fun set probably wasted!
