VIDEO SPOTLIGHT: Local Yeti Ruins Everything In New Deap Vally Clip

Deap Valley

Deap Valley have unveiled their wacky music video for Gonnawanna, featuring one of the most interesting characters we have seen in a music video for 2016.

The clip for Gonnawanna is drenched in classic 50s beach culture that you would expect of The Beach Boys, which catches you off-guard considering the track is such a fuzzy riot. Starting with a bigfoot-esque introduction to the absurd character starring in the clip, a giant pink…yeti…monster…thing. It’s hard to describe, ok?

Regardless, when nearby beach-goers decide to laugh at the character’s appearance, it decides to prey on nearby beach-goers by generally just being a dick, stealing cameras, kicking balls away etc. Before long, the clip descends into madness in a mesh of classic 50s tropes and absurd editing.

The track starts almost like a dance banger in full force before pulling back to a gritty pop meander with fuzzed out guitars ringing out like on a desert plain. While the vocals reminiscent of Icona Pop soar with drums ferociously pounding away in the background.

Gonnawanna is the second single from upcoming sophomore album ‘Femejism’ which is due out on Friday, 16th of September. Check out the crazy clip below!
