Vince Staples Drops New Video On His Way Down Under
If the killer collaboration with Flume was not enough for you, fantastic human and future of West Coast rap Vince Staples has continued his stellar week with the release of a new video for Lift Me Up. Directors David Helman and Dustin Lane take a literal interpretation of the song’s title showing Staples floating through his home of Long Beach California.
The track is taken from Staples’ 2015 critically acclaimed and criminally overlooked debut ‘Summertime 06’. With legendary producer No I.D. taking the lead on production, ‘Summertime 06’ provided listeners with a raw and real look into Staples life growing up in Long Beach.
Staples is set to tour Australia this month as part of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival and while this particular video may not get you super hyped, his live performances should not bee missed!
