Vivid Set To Liven & Lighten Up Sydney
Sydney’s Vivid LIVE Festival has dropped a full line-up, packing in an eclectic mix of local and international artists. Good news for all the indie-folk fans out there: internationally-renowned frontman Bon Iver will play a headline set, along with legendary 80s rockers New Order who’ll showcase old favourites and tracks from their new album ‘Music Complete’.
Fans of anthematic instrumentation and solid male vocals will be happy to see alt-pop frontman Anohni a.k.a. Antony Hegarty and his band on the bill, following up the success of their debut album as another headline act. Next, Grammy nominees Hiatus Kaiyote will hit you with a dose of neo-soul goodness, followed up by poetic soul songstress Sampa The Great and Oneohtrix Point Never with the debut of his seventh album ‘Garden Of Delete’.
We’re counting on Brisbane songstress Wafia and Perth producer Ta-Ku promise to deliver the ultimate dream-team collaboration and the perfect complement to an eclectic lineup. Alternative synth-pop crew Polica, NZ songwriter Tiny Ruins, and American metal band Deafheaven bring up the rear.
Finally, after all of that excitement, neo-classical composer Max Richter will be playing through Sleep, his mammoth eight hour long album, to tide sleepy spectators over between sunset and sunrise.
