Wet Leg Drop New Single ‘davina mccall’ Ahead of Anticipated Second Album ‘moisturizer’
British indie darlings and GRAMMY Award winners Wet Leg have unveiled their new single ‘davina mccall’, the third track lifted from their highly anticipated sophomore album moisturizer, set for release on July 11.
Known for their playful irreverence and catchy indie-pop hooks, Wet Leg take a softer, more heartfelt turn with ‘davina mccall’ — a whimsical ballad that cleverly fuses pop culture references like Big Brother and Shakira with a refreshing sense of sincerity and romantic devotion. The track marks a shift in tone for the band, showcasing emotional depth while keeping their signature cheeky edge intact.

Accompanying the single is a charming stop-motion animated music video, directed by Chris Hopewell, where clay figure versions of the band embark on a whimsical journey to confront a feather-stealing goblin — a visual nod to the band’s previous video for ‘CPR’.
The track exemplifies a new collaborative process for the group, with Hester Chambers and Ellis Durand sculpting the music, while Rhian Teasdale penned the lyrics and melody.
With festival performances including Glastonbury on the horizon, and moisturizer available for pre-order in various collectible formats, Wet Leg continue to prove they’re one of the UK’s most inventive and beloved indie acts.
