Whip Out Your Flanno’s, The Dandy Warhols Are Touring Australia!!
Craving some throwbacks to the late 90s? Or even just to Splendour last year? Our long-time garage rock friends The Dandy Warhols have announced they’ll be touring Australia later this year on their massive ‘Distortland’ Tour!
The US rockers’ national tour will be the first chance for Australian fans to hear their new album, ‘Distortland’, after its April release. The album was initially recorded in frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor’s basement on an 80s cassette, and the band later added the finishing touches in the studio.
For the uninitiated, The Dandy Warhols started in Oregon, 1994, as a garage rock band, and have been laying down some huge pop-rock hits since then, including party-starters main-stays Bohemian Like You and We Used To Be Friends.
The Dandy’s were last Down Under for Splendour In The Grass 2015, and it sounds like they can’t wait to get back. “We love Australia! It’s part of our family, it’s part of our body,” Taylor said.
