Yes Sir Noceur Delivers A New Surf-Inspired Jam
As premiered on Triple j’s Roots ‘n’ All, Yes Sir Noceur have released their new single Dreamin’. Produced by Konstantin Kersting (Art of Sleeping, Big Scary), and much like their previous releases, Dreamin’ shares elements and progressions more commonly associated with classic rock, but infused with more modern sensibilities.
Dreamin’ has those tinges of classic rock, but stylistically has similarities with surf-rock, in addition to vocals that have the a similar shaky falsetto akin to Jeff Buckley.
The track makes an effort to display that blend of two styles, the lead guitar uses a heavy-reverb to gain a surf-like effect while the rhythm’s effect is left clean, outside a mild distortion.
Yes Sir Noceur claim to be the lovechild of Jim Morrison and The Beach Boys, and you can see this physics-defying offspring for yourself at a set of single launch shows in the coming weeks.
