Yorke Releases Deluxe Edition of Unfinished Business EP Featuring New Single Airplane Mode
Australian alt-pop artist Yorke has unveiled the deluxe edition of her acclaimed EP Unfinished Business, featuring the brand-new single Airplane Mode, out today. The release arrives alongside the announcement of a November 2025 east coast tour, marking an exciting new chapter for the rising star.
The deluxe edition pulls together recent singles including Love On The Run, Sorry In Advance, Unfinished Business, I Wanna Hate You, and The Villain, with Airplane Mode closing the record as the final track. Yorke describes the song as a pivotal opener to the story:

“airplane mode is my favourite track off the EP, and when you listen to the deluxe, I think everything makes a lot more sense. It becomes the opener and sets the scene of the EP being an emotional journey to navigate my life in my 20s. It’s almost like this pipe dream of wanting to feel nothing, and then ‘love on the run’ comes in and you’re swept straight back into the story of finding someone when you least expect it. When listening in order, it’s like the protagonist of the EP is constantly trying to break down the emotional barriers that ‘airplane mode’ set.” – Yorke.
Written in Los Angeles with songwriter Sarah Troy and produced by Lucky West, Airplane Mode reflects Yorke’s raw vulnerability and frustration with her own empathy.
“It was written about being highly empathetic and thinking about how much easier it would be if I could just turn that side of me off. I just wanted to tap out and feel numb for a second, and I was frustrated that I couldn’t,” Yorke admits. “I was so obsessed with the chorus production from very early into the session that the song was written in a few hours, it was just one of those days where everything feels very alive in the room. We managed to capture everything I wanted to say. It was super all hands-on deck; Lucky had a bunch of weird and wonderful instruments that we took turns in playing (like a piano accordion etc) and it just allowed for a very creatively unrestrained energy.”
Directed by Kyle Caulfield (Royel Otis, Peach PRC, Dom Dolla, G Flip), the Airplane Mode video was filmed in Tokyo, capturing Yorke’s cinematic vision for Unfinished Business.
