Yorke Unveils Electrifying New Single ‘sorry in advance’ Ahead of Upcoming EP ‘unfinished business’

Australian alt-pop sensation Yorke is back with a bold new single, sorry in advance, giving fans another taste of her highly anticipated EP unfinished business, set to drop on June 13. The track, co-written with Ciara Muscat (TWICE, Red Velvet, Itzy) and produced by SB90 (Thandi Phoenix, Fractures), channels K-pop-inspired melodies and infectious energy, marking an exciting evolution in Yorke’s sound.

Yorke describes sorry in advance as the older, more unapologetic sister to her viral hit Window Shopping, which recently gained traction in Japan years after its release. This track embraces a more confident and self-assured outlook, shifting the focus from seeking approval to embracing self-worth.

“On the way to the studio that day, I found out that my song ‘Window Shopping’ was suddenly charting on Shazam in Japan, three years after its release. The response for that song over there has been pretty incredible to be honest. I started thinking about the songwriting itself, and how funny it was that if I’d written it now, I’d have a much more jaded/unapologetic view about dating (less trying to impress someone and more putting myself first). We played around with this idea in the session, and Window Shopping’s older sister song was born!.” – Yorke.
