Young Franco Drops Debut Album ‘it’s Franky baby!’ with Star-Studded Collaborations

Global acclaimed DJ and producer Young Franco has unveiled his highly anticipated debut album, it’s Franky baby!, delivering a bold mix of genres and international influences. The 10-track release showcases Franco’s innovative approach, blending disco, Italo-disco, rap, punk, and dance music while pulling inspiration from the UK, Italy, Nigeria, Jamaica, and beyond.

The album features an all-star lineup of collaborators, including Denzel Curry, Kah-Lo, EARTHGANG, Franc Moody, Master Peace, and Dana Williams, among others. Each track offers a fresh take on Franco’s genre-defying sound, weaving together vibrant beats and dynamic vocals to create a cohesive yet adventurous listening experience.

“A reflection of everything and everyone that has shaped me – my influences, my friends, and the artists I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with. It blends the sounds and voices that inspire me, capturing the energy of the people I love and the creative journey we’ve shared. It’s a mix of the many genres I’m drawn to, fusing into one big pan.” – Young Franco.

Accompanying the album is the new single, ‘Give Thanks, Give Praise’, featuring UK reggae legend General Levy and producer Tommy Villiers. The track blends sharp drum and bass beats with reggae vocals and spirited production, encapsulating the album’s energy and Franco’s signature style.

Tommy Villiers is an amazing producer; the song wouldn’t exist without him. General Levy was in Australia, and I was following his page as a huge fan. I kept checking to see when he was touring next, and it turned out he was in Sydney. After reaching out, he came to the studio. Working with such a legend was a huge blessing – he’s been a significant part of a genre and its growth. He was an absolute joy to work with and really delivered.” – Young Franco.

Tracks like ‘Wake Up’ and ‘Daydreaming’ set the tone with laid-back grooves, while ‘Stunt Like This’ and ‘Lose Control’ showcase punchy rhythms and boundary-pushing collaborations. The album culminates in ‘Sunrise,’ a tender, beach-ready anthem that wraps up the journey.
