Young Franco Drops New Single ‘Going On’ feat. piri and MC DT, Announces Debut Album and Australian Tour
Globally celebrated DJ and producer Young Franco has returned with a vibrant summer anthem, Going On, featuring UK talents piri and MC DT. The track comes alongside the exciting announcement of his highly anticipated debut album, it’s Franky baby!, set for release on January 24, 2025.
Blending the unmistakable grooves of UK garage with soulful melodies, Going On is a sonic treat. Piri’s dreamy vocals and MC DT’s legendary contributions elevate the track, creating a feel-good vibe perfect for sunny days. Franco shared how his time in London inspired the single, while piri described it as capturing the energy of those rare, perfect days.
“I’ve always had a lot of respect for piri and all the records she puts out. We worked together while I was in London. I was really inspired by all the UK garage sounds that I was listening at the time, going out to shows… piri is a very skilled writer, and we sort of just banged out that song in a day and ended up getting MC DT on it afterwards and put it all together. The album, it’s Franky baby!, is a dynamic mix of disco, rap, Italo-disco, punk, and global influences. Featuring an impressive lineup of collaborators—including Denzel Curry, Kah-Lo, EARTHGANG, Franc Moody, and General Levy—the 10-track collection promises to be a genre-defying masterpiece celebrating Franco’s musical journey.
To mark the album release, Young Franco is hosting a series of outdoor day parties across Australia in February and March 2025, with stops in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle.
