Zefereli Release Stupidly Good Video For “Stupid Goodbye” & Tour Dates
After a recent stint overseas, Brisbane duo Zefereli have returned and released a music video for their single Stupid Goodbye just in time for an East Coast tour.
Stupid Goodbye coasts along the dreamy terrain of the duo’s soft and fragmented vocals, accompanied by piano flourishes and a subtle strumming guitar. As the chorus breaks, Alistair Richardson (The Cairos) strings together a network of sounds, with his airy melodic vocals. Clea Pratt’s equally dreamy vocals shine on this track, cutting through Richardson’s verse with her crystal and pure vocals.
The video itself is a travel diary of their escapades throughout Europe and Iceland. The free-hand footage shows random fragments of singing scotsmen, Brighton’s pebbly beaches, and even a graffiti giraffe which has E.T.’s head. It’s a true encapsulation of the twenty-first century travels, showing the journey’s we all take, along with the inevitable goodbyes
Given the events of the last week, it’s clear that we need music like this more than ever. Alistair says “People are restless, there is a genuine feeling of tension in the air. At no point in human history have we all been so connected, yet so divided. I feel extremely lucky to be in a situation where I can simply create music and share it. Music can be one of those things that helps to connect us.”
So come together and join Zefereli on their East Coast tour in July! In the meantime, make sure to check out their new video below, you’ll have wanderlust in no time!
