Here at AAA Backstage, we’re proud to present local charity event ‘Struggling Minds: Music For Mental Health’. The brain-child of AAA writers Martin McConnell and Liam Murphy, the night of live music will raise much-needed funds to support the local indie scene and the mental health of it’s artists.
Taking place in West End’s trendiest venue The Bearded Lady, Struggling Minds is set to be “a mind-blowing party with a point”.
Topping the bill of live music will be Asha Jefferies, who this year has supported Ella Hooper and received plenty of airplay with her enchanting indie-folk single Honey, Save Me From My Falsehoods.
Local alt-rock outfit Sunhaus will add plenty of pep armed with their amazing uplifting yet melancholic debut single Realignment, while two-time Queensland Music Award nominated brit-pop rockers Winchester are sure to deliver plenty of infectious upbeat indie grooves.
Rounding out the lineup are one of Brisbane’s most underrated emerging bands OJ Mengel and instrumental prog rockers trio Signals.
To further help raise funds, SWOP Clothing Exchange will be providing a whopping $100 gift voucher for the raffle on the night. For only $10 it won’t burn a hole in your pocket and it’ll do a lot of good!
‘Struggling Minds’ will kick off at 7pm so make sure to get down to The Bearded Lady in West End to soak up some great live music and raise much-needed funds for a worthy cause!
