Ball Park Music Announce FREE Brisbane Album Launch Shows
Brisbane alt-pop (or alt-rock depending on the album) heroes Ball Park Music are celebrating the release of their fourth studio album ‘Every Night The Same Dream’ with TWO FREE SHOWS!
The shows will showcase songs from the new album in both electric and acoustic styles, which should sound very interesting considering the quintet have moved in a slightly psychedelic direction if the album’s three singles are anything to go off.
On the day of the album’s release Ball Park Music will take to Queen Street Mall’s upper stage for a full electric set. One day later, local fans can then squish into Stones Corner’s Sonic Sherpa Records for a stripped-back acoustic set.
After the album’s release the band will be hitting the road for a mammoth national tour, and if their eclectic and amazing set at the recent Splendour In The Grass is anything to go by their upcoming live shows are going to be bigger, louder, and more impressive than ever!
Ball Park Music have steadily become one of Australia’s most-loved modern bands. Their 2011 debut album ‘Happiness And Surrounding Suburbs’ thrust their kooky rock-infused pop into the national spotlight, with the album’s singles iFly and It’s Nice To Be Alive still a staple in their live shows. Released a year later, their sophomore album ‘Museum’ spawned Hottest 100 tunes Surrender and Coming Down.
Their third, and most accomplished, album ‘Puddinghead’ saw the Brisbane outfit play arguably their largest national tour and achieve three entries in the 2014 Hottest 100 with the hella-catchy tracks She Only Loves Me When I’m There, Everything Is Shit Except My Friendship With You, and Trippin’ The Light Fantastic.
Ball Park Music’s fourth studio album ‘Every Night The Same Dream’ is set for release on Friday, 19th of August. Check out the info for their two FREE album launch shows in Brisbane and upcoming national tour below!
