Basenji Announces Free University Tour

It’s a measure of Basenji’s influence on the Australian producer scene at the moment that Flume, the very apex of that particular prism pyramid, has chosen the young Sydney beat-maker to accompany him on his epcoming North American tour.

Basenji can also count producers Wave Racer and Snakehips among his fans, but it’s not only his peers that have recognised his precocious talents. FBi Click crowned Basenji their ‘Producer of the Year’ in 2014, Sydney’s Vivid Live 2016 booked him for a visually-arresting set at the Opera House, while his playful, sun-drenched beats are featured regularly on BBC Radio 1.

The tour kicks off early September at the Uni Bar, Wollongong University, and wraps up at the Hawthorn Hotel near Victoria’s Swinburne University. Along for the ride is Swindail, the 19-year-old producer recently named an FBi ‘Independent Artist of the Week’.
