Callan Macleod Takes You Beachside With His Latest Single, ‘STUCK’

Central Coast artist, Callan Macleod recently unveiled his new single, STUCK. It follows his previous 2021 releases, Ode To My Friends and Beery.

STUCK has a beachside feel to it with a tinge of Brit pop style guitar work. Roaming through the beachside elements, this one comes across as a feel food tune with it’s upbeat vibe and fun vocal delivery, however it carries a deeper message about anxiety, confusion and fear that comes with being a young adult.

It was written after experiencing anxiety attacks and periods of worry about establishing who I am and where I should be heading as I get older. In writing STUCK, I tried to take a step back and recognise that much of this anxiety was a product of my own overthinking, as opposed to being underpinned by any tangible issues. Bringing my focus back to those positive relationships around me allowed me to get my headspace right: something which STUCK is reflective of. – Callan Macleod
