Experience The Sweet Embrace That Is Jacko Hooper’s ‘Why I’m Here At All’

Brighton based UK singer-songwriter Jacko Hooper recently dropped a little slice of comfort, with new single ‘Why I’m Here At All’.

As well as playing his own headline shows and performing live for BBC Introducing, Jacko has also supported the likes of Flo Morrissey, James Bay, Michael Kiwanuka, Passenger, Chet Faker. The indie-folk singer-songwriter has a sound comparable to James Vincent Mcmorrow, Phoebe Bridgers and Keaton Henson, with a warm acoustic foundation and added enticing dream-pop elements.

In ‘Why I’m Here At All’ Jacko brings the dreamy mellow vibes, creating the sonic equivalent of a friend’s warm embrace. His dulcet tones carry the track along the light, melodic instrumentation that sparkles with acoustic guitar chords. The song lyrically covers themes of self-doubt and insecurity, lifting you up with honest, comforting lyrics.

In the artist’s words: “This song is about being in a rut and when the thoughts inside your head are telling you you’re not good enough, the chorus lifts, reminding the listener that they are enough and the people they have around them in their life are proof of that. They will never truly be alone.

Have a listen to this comforting track now & keep an eye out for more delightful tunes from Jacko!
