Fascinator Shares The Krautrock-Inspired ‘Skin Within’ & Details Australian Tour

Become entranced, once again, by the powers that be—Fascinator. The New York-based, Australian-born psychedelic music catalyst has shared another wild taste of his upcoming album and outlined some Australian headline shows.

Following his recent frenzy of Sex Crystals, Skin Within is a flaring krautrock affair. Ripping a page from Jagwar Ma’s bible, Fascinator is taking more intelligent experiments on his second studio album. Opening with an incredibly strong bass line, and riding it throughout, Skin Within deepens with some juxtaposing Madchester vibes and arabesque ululation. Fascinator is certainly on a planet of his own and we’re the foreign visitors catching a glimpse.

‘Water Signs’, the artist’s second studio album, is released on Friday 15 June via Spinning Top / Caroline. The album is set to take the listener on some wild musical adventures—evident in the already panicked and fantastic singles.

Landing back in the country for his first headline shows since Laneway Festival 2017—you may have also caught him DJ’ing on the main stage at this year’s Falls Festival—Fascinator will play two special headline shows at join the furry at Hobart’s Dark Mofo this June.
