Recently Australian singer-songwriter Greg Gould released his feel-good anthem, Marching On, which has received big love from all over the globe. Last week Greg revealed a new version of the track, this time round it’s in the form of a remix from Grammy Award-winning legend, Dave Audé. To celebrate the remix, Greg has shared with us his 5 favourite remixes of all time. Get the dancing shoes on because this list if pure fire.
Inaya Day – Nasty Girl (Riffs & Rays Mix)
Such a banger and what a vocalist Inaya is – this was one of the first songs I ever danced to at my first ever Mardi Gras back in the day – written by Prince and this remix samples Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough by MJ – it slaps!! It’s so feel good and makes me wanna instantly dance! I’ve had the great pleasure of recording and performing with Inaya and she is one of the best in the biz and a really phenomenal singer!
Florence & The Machine – Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix)
Vocals and energy! This is one of my favourite dance tracks of all time – such an incredible song to begin with but Calvin takes it to level 11. I’ve actually performed this song live myself and my goodness it’s not an easy song to sing but I loved it so much! Guaranteed to always get me in the mood to dance!
Lady Gaga – Poker Face (Davé Aude Remix)
I’ve been a huge fan of Dave for a very long time so picking one of his tracks for this was hard cos he has so many amazing remixes – this one tho, being a huge gaga fan – always makes me happy! It’s slick it’s full of energy and dare I say I think it’s even better than the original. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played this version or endless club nights with this track being spun by every dj in town!
Delerium feat. Sarah McLachlan – Silence (Tiesto Remix)
What a song! What a stunning hauntingly beautiful song and vocal. I’m a huge fan of Sarah’s voice and songwriting and the Tiesto mix of this has become legendary in the dance world. Iconic track that takes me to another universe! I love it!!
Whitney Houston – It’s Not Right But It’s Ok (Thunderpuss Remix)
This version of Whitney’s 1998 hit is an institution in the queer community. No matter whether it’s 2003 or 2023 it goes off! Whitney is my queen and this is my fav remix of hers. When this track comes on – the party is well and truly started and it goes off!!
