The Jezabels Back To Fighting Fit, Announce New Tour Dates

Six months ago The Jezabels were ready to tour their third album of sky-reaching indie-pop, ‘SYNTHIA’. Unfortunately, illness struck keyboardist Heather Shannon with ovarian cancer, forcing the band to take time off to let her recover. Shannon’s health is now on the up and the band is excited to hit the road.

“We are so thrilled to be announcing this new tour after the heartbreak of cancelling our tour earlier this year. Heather is feeling strong again after her treatment and we are all impassioned and eager to finally give ‘SYNTHIA’ the tour she deserves.

“We were so touched by the outpouring of support toward us over the course of this year, we cannot think of any better way to show our gratitude than bringing ‘SYNTHIA’ out on the road. We cannot wait to introduce her to you all, to see your beautiful faces and to celebrate the end of this unique and challenging year. It’s going to be smashing!” the band announced in a message to fans.

‘SYNTHIA’ is another stand-out release from one of Australia’s most beloved bands, gaining acclaim from fans and press alike. The album builds on the soaring, dramatic sound they established on earlier releases like ‘Prisoner’, adding new layers of synthesizers to give songs such as My Love Is My Disease a darker sound to match singer Hayley Mary’s emotive voice.

The Jezabels will be supported by rising singer Ali Barter, who is having a massive year on the back of her excellent fusion of grunge and pop single Hypercolour. Tickets go on sale 12pm on Wednesday, 20th of July. Fans should get in quick, as this one will sell out fast!
