NEW ACT ADDED: Listen Up, 2016 Listen Out Lineup Is Here!
Hold on to your overalls, everyone! The 2016 Listen Out lineup is set to make waves during its fourth year on the scene!
This year’s Listen Out lineup just got even better with the addition of rising rap superstar Travis Scott! After getting a nod from Kanye West during the G.O.O.D Cruel Summer compilation, Scott’s gone on to release several EPs and his 2015 debut album ‘Rodeo’, featuring the damn catchy and super smooth single Antidote.
As always, the lineup features some awesome Australian talent including recently-signed Tash Sultana, rising electronic star LDRU, soul sister Ngaiire, and young talent JOY! Sydney producers RUFUS will be playing their last 2016 Australian shows at the festival alongside Baauer, Willow Beats, Tchami, and Sui Zhen DJ set.
American rapper Anderson Paak will be headlining with his band The Free Nationals, and after the hype of his 2016 album ‘Malibu’, he’s sure to be a crowd favourite! A$AP Ferg is also preparing to ‘Strive and Prosper’ his way through a headlining set, so get ready to mosh!
This year’s location has been spiced up a bit, moving from the Brisbane Showgrounds to the luscious open spaces of Victoria Park. With an awesome lineup and a new venue, it’s looking like a great long weekend!
In other Listen Out news, last year’s headliner Childish Gambino pulled a quick one on the internet and released a mysterious app called ‘Pharos’. The app features show dates, “New Music” and a promise for a “full album experience”. If only time could go faster…
