Midnight Pool Party Will Have You in Club Mode With Their Latest Single, ‘BANG BANG’

Indie dance duo Midnight Pool Party have just released a massive dance floor treat BANG BANG. The new absolute filth of a jam is full of dance floor energy and some massive drops!

BANG BANG follows on from their super well received single released back in April, Nonchalant which saw them cross over some disco sounds with a hip-hop/RnB kind of a feel. The experimentation continues on with BANG BANG. Molding a sound that is consistent with a real club vibe but maintaining that classic Midnight Pool Party sound. The concept of the track cam about after some good times out and about amongst the gay club scene.

“Initially I came up with a concept for the song which I showed to Ollie with some references of the type of vibe I was going for; before the pandemic hit us I was going out to gay clubs and listening to more club music, and a lot of music that was associated with the gay ballroom scene. Once I showed Ollie we sat down and listened to more club music as opposed to our usual disco styles. Artists like Disclosure, Fisher and Duke Dumont were references we used that made sense to us and the evolution of this new song.” – Morilla, Midnight Pool Party

Energy wise it’s a track you can throw on whenever you need that extra little pep up. It’s a positive track that you want to jive to.

“The song is about dodging bullets, bad vibes and energies, while also dishing back on those back who taunt you. It’s almost like a pep talk to yourself, to psych yourself up to speak up for yourself, own what you have and not letting anyone bother you with their negativity.” – Midight Pool Party

BANG BANG is available now, everywhere.
