Mullum Music Festival Announces First 2016 Lineup

Mullum

Mullum Music Festival is back for a colossal ninth year in the “Biggest Little Town”of Mullumbimby (NSW) and has finally served us a first round of artist announcements. Headliners include Vancouver Blues duo The Harpoonist & the Axe Murderer, Tennessee’s Julien Baker, and the Americana-inspired singer songwriter Eilen Jewell.

The festival has included many emerging homegrown acts such the dynamic Tash Sultana, Melbourne’s Olympia, Lior, Susannah Espie, and many more!

The multi-venue boutique festival is set to take place on 17-20 November in and on the pubs, clubs, halls, and streets of Mullumbimby. The festival organisers are hinting at big artists in a second announcement, so it’ll be time to see what the local summer event will bring when over 80 artists perform over four days.

The Mullum Music Festival has long been known as one of Australia’s hot spots for showcasing folk, country, and Americana artists. Last year’s event was headlined by Canadian singer songwriter Ron Sexsmith with performances by Ben Ottewell from the UK indie rock bank Gomez, Southern soul vibers The California Honeydrops, and Australia’s own Harry James Angus of The Cat Empire and We Two Thieves.

The full lineup is set to be announced on Monday, 1 August!
