Spacey Jane Take Us One Step Closer To Their Second Album With ‘It’s Been A Long Day’

Following on from a huge run of sold out dates, ARIA Award winners, Spacey Jane last week unveiled their instant classic, It’s Been A Long Day. The brand new single, is taken from their second album, Here Comes Everybody which is set for release on Friday June 10.

It’s Been A Long Day is a slow style ballad that carries elements of that Spacey Jane vibe we’ve come to know so well. Twangy guitars topped by frontman Caleb Harper’s instantly recognisable vocal delivery put this on the shelf as some of their best work to date.

“This song was written pre and post a breakup in 2020.  It was a way to tell someone that I loved them when I was feeling so anxious and down in the early stages of COVID –  and I didn’t know if I was doing enough to really tell them.  In the end I became so overwhelmed and unwell during a six month period that I convinced myself that music was a lost cause, and the complete loss of identity resulted in the breakdown of the relationship.  I’ve got something to say, was trying to say all the things I felt for her at once.  In the end, after the breakup, the final lines of the song are –  I really loved you.”Caleb Harper

It’s Been A Long Day is another addition to a catalogue filled with hits and we can’t wait for the full album this June. It’s available now, everywhere.
