Third Album The Final Charm For Gypsy & The Cat

Electro-pop curators Gypsy & The Cat a.k.a Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers have released a string of teaser tracks in the lead up to their third and final album ‘Virtual Islands’, and now electro-pop curators Gypsy & The Cat are pre-purring for a huge national tour send-off!

Featuring charting singles Inside Your Mind, I Just Wanna Be Somebody Else, and their latest release Life, ‘Virtual Islands’ is sounding like a worthy swan-song for the dynamic duo.

A magical career full of charting singles in Australia and overseas has garnered a strong following for the pair, who say that they have achieved what they set out to do and are “incredibly proud” of their musical catalogue.

Bacash said the split breeds no bad blood between he and Towers. “We are like brothers, Lionel and I, and this is in no way a sad or bitter thing – we speak every day, in fact. Instead it’s more of a decision to keep growing as individuals and explore our artistic limits in different incarnations.”

Armed with a set comprised of future classics and fresh, synth-heavy numbers, Gypsy & The Cat will kick off their final Australian tour shortly after their third album ‘Virtual Islands’ drops on Friday 5th of September. Check out the dates below!
