Torren Foot’s Stunning Remix Of Lastlings’ Track ‘Take My Hand’

Marking his third remix release of the year, Torren Foot drops a pulsing re-work of Lastlings’ hit single ‘Take My Hand’. This follows on from his latest edits of Yung Bae’s ‘Bad Boy’ and The Aston Shuffle’s ‘Care A Little Less’, with this new track once again reaffirming his ability to create intoxicating dancefloor anthems.

Torren Foot has become one of the most in-demand Aussie DJs after his break out track ‘More Life’ impressed Australia by keeping a #1 spot on Beatport for five weeks and being the most played single on Triple J at the time. Since then, ‘More Life’ has amassed over 3 million streams on Spotify, he’s been nominated for an ARIA award and produced a series of club favourites such as ‘Hot Sauce’ & a remix for Tiga’s ‘Bugatti’ via Diplo’s label Mad Decent.

The original track by Japanese-Australian sibling duo Lastlings was their first release of 2020, showcasing their increasing talent as genre-fusing creators. The pair, consisting of Amy and Josh Dowdle, have seen their electronic, brooding synth-pop tracks land them slots at Splendour in The Grass, Beyond The Valley and more. They’ve earned international recognition after supporting RÜFÜS DU SOL on their world tour, which included performances at iconic venues and festivals like Red Rocks, LA State Historic Park, and Coachella.

Torren shares details about this remix, “Amy’s voice is so dreamy and beautiful, having the opportunity to work with Lastlings I really wanted to create a record that was a moment – I pictured playing this about an hour into my DJ set, a big atmospheric breakdown, and a beautiful vocal to refresh the crowd.”

In this remix he works a sultry, invigorating beat behind Amy’s effortless vocals, creating a sound that will leave you wishing the dancefloors were open to cut some shapes to this one.
