Unknown Mortal Orchestra Continues To Drip Feed Album With ‘Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays’
One of the world’s most intriguing music purveyors, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, has been drip feeding his third studio album since February this year. The avant-garde artist has shared his grooviest track yet, Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays.
The new single follows the enigmatic American Guilt and Not In Love, We’re Just High. Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays spars with itself for attention in groove philosophy. It’s an instant head-bopper. It never stays complacent and forces a whole lot of unique inspiration upon itself. However, much like classic UMO, the song still sounds like it’s been passed through a finely tuned fly-screen—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
The song has had a small legacy through Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s devoted fans. Leaking early to those lucky few who pre-ordered the album, it also became available through a special edition package of the album, which came with a pamphlet titled, ‘Age of Paranoia’. Soon enough http://everyoneactscrazynowadays.com circulated the web, before officially dropping for us today.
‘Sex & Food’ is out on Jagjaguwar via Inertia Music Friday 6 April. UMO is heavily rumoured to make his Australian return in July this year on the Splendour in the Grass lineup. In the meantime, stream Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays below.
