Vilde Peels Back The Layers Of His Geometrical Art-Rock On ‘Warm Milk’

Vilde

As if Stockholm’s Vilde couldn’t get any weirder. Warm Milk is the eccentric, art-rock evangelist’s latest and burrows deeper into the psyche of Vilde.

Following on from Flash In The PanWarm Milk is an incredibly stylised and geometrical approach to songwriting. Technically proficient, Vilde’s new single is spindly, emotive foray into what makes this artist tick. His showmanship and embrace to art-rock is still at the top of his game, but now we’re unravelling the diatribe that is Vilde.

All these melodically-pleasing elements pair almost too well with Vilde’s unique vocal delivery. His declaration of independence on this project is astonishing, with him writing, performing, producing and mastering the entire record himself. Not to mention releasing the entirely self-shot and disconcerting video for Warm Milk.

Warm Milk is the second taste from the artist’s forthcoming album, ‘Thud’ due out July 13th via We Are Golden. On the album, Vilde sees we’re already embracing out divided future.

“A persistent theme that eventuated was our relationship to technology & social media in 2017. I feel like the record almost became a plea for people to put down their phones and speak to each other, or even just to sit and think. But if this is the future for us, one should just accept it right” explained Vilde.

Vilde will be performing two shows in Australia this August. Stream Warm Milk below.
