Angus Stone Is Hitting The Road With A Solid Lemon

Aussie folk legend Angus Stone has announced he’ll finally be taking his new project Dope Lemon on the road! The national tour has been announced with the music video release of Coyote, the third single from the project’s debut album ‘Honey Bones’.

Never heard of Angus Stone? He’s one-half of legendary sister-brother folk duo Angus and Julia Stone. Their massive hit Big Jet Plane won the ARIA 2010 Single Of The Year and triple j’s 2010 Hottest 100. As well as recording three albums with his sister, Angus recorded a solo album under the name Lady of the Sunshine in 2009 and a solo album in his own name in 2012.

The Sydney-based artist has been busy this year recording some juicy music under the equally juicy name Dope Lemon. Their debut album ‘Honey Bones’ was recorded in Angus’ very own farm studio alongside The Walking Who’s Rohin Brown and The Delta Rigg’s Elliot Hammond.

Released back in June, the album is jam-packed with psych-folk, touches of rock, and raw emotive vocals. The must listen track is its lead single Uptown Folks which embodies Angus’ laid back coastal vibes.

Angus recently told us he’s been hitting the studio with Julia where they’ve been working on some new music together. He’s super excited about what they’ve created together, but they’re waiting for the perfect time to bless the world with their new work. The pair are set to perform at VanFest in November.
