DZ Deathrays Drop Dynamic New Single “Pollyanna” + National Tour Dates

Brisbane’a favourite hard rock duo DZ Deathrays have dropped a new single Pollyanna and announced one of their biggest headlining tours to date, supported by AAA fav Ecca Vandal!

Pollyanna is a refinement of the group’s distinct epic party-thrashing sound. Where their previous single Blood On My Leather featured a lo-fi rock sound with repeated riffs and a relatively straightforward flow, Pollyanna takes this formula and twists it into a slightly more succinct and interesting rock banger!

The new track sees DZ flirt with actually releasing a track that’s Triple M friendly…not that that’s a bad thing! The new single also has more dynamics with quieter (quiet for DZ anyway) parts, which are often thrown aside in their previous releases. The use of dynamics in Pollyana really allow the song to breathe, again showing songwriting maturity from the thrashing duo.

The duo’s last album was 2014’s ‘Black Rat’, so hopefully Pollyanna means that new tunes from DZ aren’t too far away! Check out the new track and December tour dates below!
