Laneway’s 2017 Lineup Will Make You Literally Like A Kid In A Candy Shop

Laneway Bris 2016 Hermitude 8

Australia’s leading music tastemaker event Laneway Festival has once again brought the goods, announcing an irresistible 2017 lineup full of fantastic Aussie acts and a sprinkling of great international names.

Two of Australia’s biggest musical exports in recent years Tame Impala and Chet Faker Nick Murphy spearhead the 2017 lineup, along with the uber-amazing Glass Animals, Gang Of Youths, Jagwar Ma, and one-woman musical genius Tash Sultana.

They’ll be a killer hip hop set from none other than A.B. Original, great hard rock supplied by Luca Brasi, and Bob Moses’ set in each festival leg is sure to be grooooove central!

Laneway has the reputation for showcasing the best new talent or those just about to crack it internationally, a.k.a headlining Splendour and selling out massive national tours in a few years time. Yes some of the lineup have “already made it”, but if you haven’t yet heard of Ecca Vandal, Camp Cope, Car Seat Headrest, Flyying Colours, Jess Kent, or Koi Child you should do ASAP! Just buy the ticket dammit…

The beloved festival will once again return to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle in early 2017, showcasing the best in alt music plus providing some pretty decent food & drink plus some cool extras like suitcases rummages and cool (slightly hipster) stuff to do between bands!

This year’s lineup announcement does however follow backlash for the Festival’s Brisbane leg happening on Australia (clashing with the Hottest 100) and Chet Faker no longer wanting to be called that name. For a wrap up on all this chaos click HERE.
