Red Deer Music & Arts Festival Drops Irresistible 2016 Lineup
Brisbane’s favourite BYO festival and infamous weekend sleepover party has dropped one heck of a 2016 lineup, headlined by Sydney party-starters Art vs Science and local indie-rock heroes The Jungle Giants!
The iconic ‘BYO booze and couch’ festival will also feature sets from Melbourne electro prodigy Owen Rabbit, North-Coast NSW cruisers Mar Haze, Brisbane 9-piece juggernaut BULLHORN, and local rising star beneb.
As the 2016 festival is ‘At the Drive-In’ they’ll be plenty of colourful and entertaining characters filling the infamous Foggs Road natural amphitheater, partaking in the plethora of hands-on activities, and tucking into the smorgasbord of fine food and drinks on offer. Oh, and did we mention the ‘Fashion of the Fields’ Dance-off contest?
“We’re extremely excited to announce our 2016 co-headliners Art vs Science and The Jungle Giants. They are exactly the kinds of bands we want closing out our festival: upbeat, energetic, and full of party bangers everyone can sing-along and dance to”, said Promotions Director Bas Pelly.
“Red Deer is a great chance for us to showcase the amazingly talented and exciting bands that are out there, and this year I feel like we’ve assembled the best bunch we’ve ever had.
“As organisers, the three us have fought passionately for every single band on this bill, which has lead us to our most thoughtful and carefully constructed curation yet,” Pelly added.
“Red Deer is for people of all ages (18+), from all walks of life, and we encourage anyone with a passion for music, the arts, and general mateship and shenanigans to get your ticket before they sell out,” said Festival organiser Julian De Maria
“We’re really pumped for this year’s Festival and feel that now in our sixth year we’re really starting to spread our wings, but that’s our opinion…there’s really only one way for you to find out!”
