Tkay Maidza At It Again With Banger, Album News, & Tour
Festival kween Tkay Maidza has dropped her new track Carry On, reminding us just how on point her rap game is. After making fans froth over her 2014 EP ‘Switch Tape’, the Adelaide rhyme-spitter has finally announced her debut album which is currently dubbed ‘TKAY’.
Featuring killer verses from Run The Jewels‘ member Killer Mike, Carry On is in banger territory with Tkay’s classic sassy chants, tenacious delivery, and tight production.
“Carry On is kind of about me going through troubles and [Mike] acts as a big brother, which is really cool,” says Tkay.
The hip-hop kween is set to tour the US with Aussie bass-lord What So Not, who is a suspect feature artist on the debut record. “There’s something something on the album that is a What So Not song that hasn’t been heard,” says Tkay.
The debut album is set for release on Friday, 28th of October. We’re also getting some headlining shows from her in the next few months, accompanied by Sable and Midas.Gold. On top of that, Tkay will be once again gracing the stages of some of the biggest festivals, including Falls, BIGSOUND, and Mountain Sounds.
