Ryan Edmond Gets Real With Latest Track ‘If She Knew’

Australian-born, Sweden-based artist Ryan Edmond has recently released ‘If she knew’ ft. Yung Goon, the final glimpse into his upcoming EP.

With his past tracks receiving critical acclaim from the likes of Triple j, Clash Magazine and Pilerats, it’s clear he’s destined for big things- and this latest single is certainly a testament to that.

‘If she knew’ is an indie-roots tune with a seriously cool reggae twist. The combination of smooth vocals, psychedelic guitars and steady drums creates a song that’s simply dripping with good vibes.

Contrasting with the upbeat mood of the track, the lyrics cover a sombre topic- that of a person’s struggle with mental health. Ryan explains, “I started writing [this song] after seeing a woman standing up on a bridge screaming at the top of her lungs… ‘If She Knew’ is a story that needs to be told. A reminder that we need to take care and look after each other, as well as letting go of the stigma that it’s shameful to reach out to friends, family or professionals if you feel that you need someone to talk to.”

The insightful track was produced by Craig Harnath (Motor Ace, Jet, Bodyjar) and Jez Giddings (Paul Dempsey, The Living End, Ash Grunwald) at Hot House Studios in Melbourne.

Check out ‘If she knew’ now and be sure to stay tuned for the EP release due this September!
