Apocalyptica ‘Shadow Maker’ Tour

apocalyptica-edited

Finnish classical-metal giants Apocalyptica are back and prepared to make their mark on Australia with their ‘Shadow Maker’ tour!

They’ll be backed up by none other than Sydney progressive post-rockers We Lost The Sea whose dark melodies have redefined the boundaries between rock, metal, and classical.

With a pinch of metal and rock laced through, the band’s symphonic style is almost hypnotic. If you’re still unfamiliar with these guys, it’s time to check out the video below and think about whether your Sunday night dinner plans are really that important.

Who knows when they’ll be back in Australia, so get your ticket before these Finnish rockers set off once more!

Cub Sport National Tour

cub-sport

Brisbane indie-pop sweethearts Cub Sport are heading around the country (again!) for a second round of tour dates in support of their debut record ‘This Is Our Vice’.

It goes without saying that 2016 has been massive for the 4-piece. Back on the scene after a three-year break from touring, they supported The 1975 Splendour sideshows, toured with Saskwatch back in March, and dropped in on triple j last month for a killer Kanye cover.

If you missed them the first time around, the upcoming tour will be there biggest yet with eight dates starting in October, including three underage shows in Melbourne, Sydney and hometown Brisbane. Oh, and their August tour sold out…so get your hands on those tickets ASAP!

Nicole Millar ‘Signals’ Tour

nicole-millar

Sydney-based singer-songwriter Nicole Millar is gearing up to spend the next few months travelling the East Coast on her largest tour to date.

Earlier this year, Millar dropped her debut EP ‘Tremble’ to rave reviews and support nationwide, with the title track even becoming triple j’s most played for several weeks.

Though between performances at Splendour (solo and onstage with Peking Duk), winning an ARIA, and supporting Troye Sivan in his massive Australian tour, this tour will be one to not miss out on.

The 11-date tour includes stop-offs at Wollongong’s Yours & Owls Festival, the secret Pandora Warehouse gig, and Park Sounds in Brisbane, before heading west to Southbound in December.

chairlift

In their first Aussie appearance since 2012, Brooklyn-based duo Chairlift are heading Down Under for WA’s Disconnect Festival and now, with the announcement of sideshow dates, East Coast fans can rejoice too!

If you’re unacquainted with the pair, they made synth-pop waves in 2008 when their track Bruises took the world by storm. Since then, the experimentalists have given us three albums of sweet pop, including their latest ‘Moth’.

Their fame has seen them hit up some of the major stops on the festival circuit including Laneway and SXSW just to name a few, and their Aussie dates will be some not to miss!
