Paul Kelly & Charlie Owen’s ‘Heavenly Sounds’ Tour
Pending the release of their “funeral songs” album, ‘Death’s Dateless Night’, harmonica-wielding Paul Kelly and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Owen have announced a national tour in support of the 12-track collaborative album.
“It’s interesting to look at the kinds of songs people request at funerals. They’re not always sad, of course. They tend towards the philosophical, wide and deep in scope,” said Kelly.
Fittingly the ‘Heavenly Sounds’ tour will be held in churches and cathedrals in capital cities, for some of the most unique and intimate shows you’ll see from the two musicians!

Shura’s Debut Australian Shows
London-based singer and producer Shura is hitting up Australia for her very first time. The songstress skyrocketed into the music world not so long ago, after her 2014 debut disco-pop gem single Touch received over 30 million hits. The end of the year will see her touring with Falls Festival and playing at Sydney’s Field Day festival, as well as a very special ~exclusive~ performance for Melbournians at the Northcote Social Club in January.
After touring with big names including the likes of CHVRCHES, M83, and Marina & The Diamonds, her soft beats and silky voice will be one you want to catch over New Years’. If you want to know more about the lovely lady, we interviewed her back in June!

Guantanamo Baywatch East Coast Tour
Portland’s surf-rockers Guantanamo Baywatch are making the trip Down Under once again in support of their ‘Darling… It’s Too Late’ album from 2015. These Americans love travelling back in time and are all about embracing the tracks and genres of the past.
The single Too Late has taken off and they’re touring the Aussie East Coast in celebration of the excitement around the album, oh, and nabbing an extra guitarist. They describe their shows as “chicken wings and tequila shots”, so expect the unexpected. Check out our “Baywatch Baes” Q&A with them from earlier this week!
Frank Iero & the Patience 2016 Australian Tour
Former My Chemical Romance guitarist and backing vocalist Frank Iero this week announced three massive pieces of news: he has a new single, for a new album, that he’s taking on tour!
New single I’m A Mess stands as a captivating punk song, among its catchy guitar riffs and Iero’s punk voice. If it’s anything to go by, the album’s certainly set to be an angst-driven, but very exciting punk release.
Iero and his band The Patience are bringing the track to Australia next month!
