Cub Sport Deliver Ultra Cool Like A Version Of Kanye’s “Ultralight Beam”

Harmonies like no other filled the triple j studio as Brisbane pop outfit Cub Sport delivered a whimsical rendition of Kanye’s Ultralight Beam.

Following the success of their debut album ‘This Is Our Vice’ earlier this year, the indie pop quartet are killing the Aussie air waves with their unique mixture of vocals, and their Like A Version is no exception.

Ultralight Beam is one of very few tracks on Kanye’s ‘Life Of Pablo’ that provides a more refined, slowed-paced sound which is a perfect accompaniment for Cub Sport’s airy instrumentation.

The cover begins with lead singer Tim Nelson’s oh-so-soothing vocals before steady drums, dreamy guitar, and church-like keyboard fill your soul with a gooey-happy feeling.

We didn’t think Kanye could be reworked into a gentle lullaby but the harmonies compiled towards the end of the cover does just that, leaving you calmed and a little breathless. Bring on more Kanye covers!
