GUEST PLAYLIST: Two Can – “Songs Worth Holding Onto”

two-can-press-shot

Melbourne electronic siblings Two Can are riding high on the release of their debut EP ‘Continuance’. Going with the theme of the EP’s bangin’ lead single Holding On To You, we asked Oscar and Myles Sach-Haber to curate us a playlist of “Songs Worth Holding Onto”…and boy did the brothers deliver!

Have a listen while you read + follow the playlist & AAA on Spotify!

The Aston Shuffle – Make a Wrong Thing Right
An astonishingly good song, we personally fell in love with ‘TAS’ when we used to go for trips to Mount Buller and listen to ‘Tear it Down’ whilst bombing the slopes!

BØRNS – Electric Love
We were absolutely astonished by the percussion in this song especially those heavy sparse tom drums. I think it’s impossible not to remember the hook to this song!

Earth Wind & Fire – September
We get a lot of inspiration from Earth Wind & Fire, especially Al McKay on the guitar. His plucky guitar riffs in the chorus section of September were genius!

Hot Natured – Benediction (LXURY Remix)
We have been following LXURY for a while and found him a few years back when disclosure reposted J.A.W.S  – he released this remix and we instantly fell in love!

Ben Pearce – What I Might Do (Kilter Remix)
We watched a studio session of Ben Pearce in the studio hosted by Point Blank Music School. On the YouTube tabs, I found a remix of it hosted by La Belle Musique. That replay button has been used a plethora of times…

KLP – Air
We were fortunate enough to play before KLP at a gig at The Ivy in Sydney when they hosted a sick pool party! We then heard Air on triple j and fell in love with it instantly, house music, top-notch hook and good vibes, who
wouldn’t?

Aluna George – I’m In Control (Throttle Remix)
Throttle is an absolute weapon of a producer, and his remix for Aluna George displays nothing less of his impeccably clean disco sound. I still haven’t listened to this and noticed my foot tapping subconsciously yet.

Montis & Affreux – Wrong (feat. Eloy Smit)
This niche label based in the US ‘Tipsy Tortoise’ has been releasing some absolutely amazing music and this track expresses nothing less than that. A message from us to Montis & Affreux and Eloy Smith: You guys are a dream team!

MØ – Final Song
We are super inspired by this trappy feel good vibe music that has been having so much success recently, and when you put MØ on the vocals over an incredible backing, isn’t it destined for success?!

Cut The Chord (Felix Jaehn Vs. Hitimpulse)
Nothing more we can say about this than, we are most definitely putting this in all our sets on our next tour.

SAFIA – Together, Locked Safely
We met the SAFIA boys at ‘Your Paradise’ festival last year, where we were all fortunate enough to be playing at. These guys are seriously incredible musicians and have crafted a sound of their own. P.S: Loving those vocal ad-libs in the chorus boys!

JOY – Like Home
JOY is an artist we discovered on triple j about half a year ago and instantly gave her a follow on all social media platforms. We found her single ‘Like Home’ on Spotify, and fell in love with it. Undoubtedly one of the best up and coming singer-songwriters in the country at the moment!

Montaigne – Because I Love You
We think Montaigne has one of the coolest voices in the scene. Her high pitch vocals in this song are so strong, let alone her vocal melodies. Definitely a dream collaborator for us so Montaigne, if you’re reading this, be sure to hit us up!
