Southbound Drops Locally Packed Lineup

After regrettably cancelling last year’s event due to fire warnings, Southbound festival has returned for 2016 announcing a jam packed lineup, filled almost entirely with Western Australian bands (so far). Lead by the banger dropping Hermitude, pop rockers San Cisco, electronic duo Slumberjack, alt-rockers Tired Lion and hip-hop/jazz blenders Koi Child, this definitely isn’t your typical local shindig.

Certainly an impressive array so far, Southbound doesn’t stop there. HWLS, Mosquito Coast, KUČKA, Lilt and more are representing the Western state so hard that it’s actually become the highest about of local acts to have ever played the festival in it’s 12 year history.

While the festival was previously taking place in January, this year Southbound is set to happen just before, in late December. No word on what the rest of the major headliners will be, but definitely keep your eyes out for the next lineup drops.
