Brisbane Bowie Final Farewell Show Selling Fast

Blackstar Article

Just over one month after David Bowie’s untimely death, preparations for ‘Ziggy Played Guitar’, a Brisbane charity show in honour of the Starman is quickly approaching.

The John Steel Singers, WAAX, Born Joy Dead, and Spencer White (Morning Harvey) are amongst the acts on the star-studded bill for The Foundry’s tribute to Bowie. More lineup information is yet to be revealed via the Ziggy Played Guitar Facebook page.

In the spirit of community and collaboration, the performers will honour Bowie’s legacy by adding their own flavour to his most famous hits. Organisers have promised to steer clear of schedules and predictable sets, instead planning to deliver an untraditional show filled with “incredible, poignant moments created by Brisbane’s finest”.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Cancer Council Queensland. Half of the tickets have already sold, so get in quick for your chance to witness the Starman’s spectacular final sendoff.
