Lost Worlds’ Childlike Enthusiasm Makes For Some Crazy Punk Music On ‘What You Say’

If Catfish and the Bottlemen made you lose faith in rock music with their poor approximation of the genre, Lost Worlds will whip you right back into shape. What You Say is a rambunctious new spin on what it means to be a rock band in 2018.

Much like their photo above dictates, Lost Worlds’ music is much like an arcade. Loud with a flurry of lights, sounds and distractions all flooding your senses. The shifting tectonic plates of their sonic abrasion manages to remain complacent. The track is built atop a cluster of rushing guitars that come custom-made with some fierce tones. Put lightly, Lost Worlds have some raw, unadulterated energy in their rock music and they truly aren’t holding anything back.

What You Say is nonconformist, yet a modern edge. Underneath the guitars is some pretty obscure clicks and bleeps from the band’s synthesised backbone. They’re childlike enthusiasm for sound experimentation and creating hooks makes for a delicious blend of pop aesthetics glued onto punk ideologies. It’s completely unrestricted and Lost Worlds revel in their own maddening glory. You can’t help but join in their madness—only to find yourself moshing and thrashing to the beat of their own delinquency.

What You Say is pulled from Lost Worlds’ debut album, ‘Fire Fire’ which was recently released via The A&R Department.
